Change history & period lock
Every change to a time entry is logged — who, when, what (old → new). Members see corrections right on the entry and acknowledge them. And once a month is reviewed, one click locks it for the whole team.
Step by step
- 01
History on the entry
In every entry’s edit dialog, the “Change history” accordion shows who changed which field when (old → new) — including creation and timer stop.
- 02
Acknowledge corrections
If someone else changes your entry, a “Corrected” marker appears on it. “Acknowledge” confirms you have seen the correction — documented with a timestamp.
- 03
Use the changelog report
Reports → “Changelog” tab: all changes (and, in the “Deleted” segment, deletions) in the period. Admins and owners see the whole workspace; members see changes to their own entries.
- 04
Close a period
In the working-time report: “Close period” (admin/owner) locks all entries up to the end of the shown period — for every member, admins included. Locked entries carry a lock icon and can no longer be changed.
- 05
Correcting despite the lock
If a locked entry must be corrected after all, admins/owners can use “Correct despite lock” — deliberately confirmed, doubly logged in history and audit log, and visible to the member. Only the owner can lift the lock entirely.
The changelog report
The “Changelog” reports tab lists every change in the period — who changed which entry when (old → new), with a self/foreign marker and the acknowledgment status. The “Deleted” segment keeps deleted entries visible as a snapshot.
Closing a period
In the working-time report, “Close period” locks the selected week or month. The confirmation dialog is explicit: entries of ALL members up to the closing date are locked — independent of the current filter. Locked entries carry a lock icon.
Do members see when a manager changes their times?
Yes, always: a “Corrected” marker on the entry, details in the history (who, when, old → new) and in their own changelog — deletions included.
Can the history be disabled or deleted?
No. The history is written automatically on every change and cannot be edited — that is exactly what makes the record reliable.
What does the lock icon on an entry mean?
The entry lies in a closed period. It can no longer be changed or deleted; admins can make a deliberate, logged correction in exceptional cases.
Who can reopen a closed period?
Only the workspace owner — and that, too, is logged.
