Tracking breaks
With break capture enabled, one click interrupts work and starts a break — on desktop and phone alike. Breaks are never billable, never appear in project reports, and feed into the working-time report.
Step by step

Enable break capture
Settings → Workspace → General: switch on “Break capture” (admin/owner). Only then does the Pause button appear — teams without break capture see no new controls at all.

Pause with one click
While a timer runs, the Pause button (coffee-cup icon) stops the work entry and immediately starts a break — on desktop in the timer bar, on the phone right in the black timer bar at the bottom, so from any page. Stopping again ends the break; you resume work deliberately — e.g. via “Resume” on your last entry.

Log breaks manually
In manual mode (and in the calendar) choose “Break” instead of “Work” when creating an entry: just date, from–to and an optional description — no project, no billability.

What happens with breaks
Breaks show in your entries list and calendar with the coffee-cup icon, but never count toward project hours, utilisation or billable time. The working-time report shows them as break time per day.
I don’t see a Pause button — why?
Break capture is a per-workspace setting and off by default. An admin or owner enables it under Settings → Workspace → General. It also only appears while work is running — during a running break the stop control takes its place.
Can I convert a work entry into a break later?
No — the type is fixed at creation. Delete the entry and re-create it as a break; that keeps the change history unambiguous.
Do I need break capture for the working-time report?
No. With capture off, the report counts time between two entries as break time. With capture on, recorded breaks count as break time — unrecorded gaps appear separately in the “untracked” column.
